My latest creation....

Hi all, sorry I've been so long in-between posting here but have been taking things easy. Wanted to show you one of my latest creations. I got the idea for this some time before my surgery but never had a chance to get it worked out till now. These are my new Faux Hanging Tobacco Leaves, giggles, and I just love them!

And yelp, I'll be working on the tutorial for them over the next few days so be sure to keep watch for it. I still have a little more to do to these but couldn't wait to show my progress so far! Of course I'll include everything you'll need to know how to make them, plus some extra tips. Gonna have hubs make me an old wood peg board with flat head nails to hang these on and can't wait to see it! These should also be a great selling item at the craft shows/stores, especially with Fall upon us. These are much like the real ones but don't need any care, and dust would be a primitive/colonial accent, LOL! I was just bursting and had to share this with you but will have more and better pics, and the tutorial hopefully very soon. I do hope you'll all like them as much as I do. Till next time, Have Fun Crafting!

Hugs, Libby

Please note these are a copyright item and my own creation!

My Thanks To All....

Hi everyone, I'm sorry it's been so long, but there were complications during and after my surgery. I can't THANK GOD enough for being with me and skillfully guiding the medical professionals through my surgery. Shortly before going in I had this feeling that something wasn't right. I can't explain that but I KNOW some of you know exactly what I'm talking about. Just enough time for one last prayer of my own, I talked to God then asked him to take control and watch over me for what ever it was I had yet to face. Suddenly I was reminded of all your prayers that were with me. As I remembered your prayer posts and e-mails it brought tears to my eyes. It was such a wonderful feeling to know that just when I needed them most, you all were there with me. So as I tell you "I thank you from the bottom of my heart," I truly mean that, it's not just words!

What was expected to be a normal procedure turned out a little different. Soon after doc made the usual 5" to 7" incision, he learned I was full of fibroids and had to make a side to side cut. I had two very large ones that had grown around other things including my right ureter, so doc had hours of careful cutting to do nearly doubling the expected surgery time. After being home 2 or 3 days I had more complications and had to return for another short stay. I lost 15 pounds in 12 days according to doc's scales when I returned to have staples removed. And as most of you know I LOVE eating good foods, I couldn't look at anything other than a nice cold freezer pop. But thank God again during these last few days my appetite is slowly returning and pain is diminishing. I still have some recovery time and will be slow, which is to be expected after all the cutting doc had to do. He said in all his years he had only seen one other case with such a large fibroid, and I had two.

I have so much to be thankful for including all of you....my family, friends, and followers! I thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers, posts, e-mails, cards, and phone calls to the hospital/my room/home! I'm also sorry I missed most of your calls but I was told about them, just so you know. You girls have all been so great and I love and appreciate each and everyone of you! Prim friends truly are the best and I pray God's richest blessings for you all.

I'll be getting online as I can, trying to catch up on things. I hope all has been well with you and you've been busy crafting. I can't wait to see what everyone's been into!

Till next time I'm sending you all many thanks and lots of big warm hugs & kisses, Libby.
